Ascophyllum nodosum is a wild brown algae that thrives on rocky coasts in temperate climates. It absorbs valuable trace elements from the mineral-rich waters of the Atlantic and stores them in a biologically available form, ideal for plant and soil care.
In addition to these trace elements, the algae also contains a high iodine content , which is particularly important for soils and crops in Europe. Ascophyllum nodosum thus naturally supports healthy soils and promotes healthy crops.

Scientific evaluation of effectiveness
The graphic shows the positive effects of Algifol® on plant growth. In combination with N50P26K42 fertilizer and liquid manure
(5 t/ha), Algifol® increased yields on the three soils tested by an impressive 116%.
In addition, the fresh and dry matter yield of the shoots increased by 54–57% and 51–54% respectively, while the root biomass in the soil increased by around 69%. A clear improvement was also seen in the zucchini: the number and weight of the fruits, the plant height and the length and number of leaves increased significantly.*

The application of Algifol® promotes plant growth by increasing biovolume, plant height, leaf length and width as well as chlorophyll content.
In addition, Algifol® can significantly increase the fresh and dry matter yields of both shoots and roots.

The ingredients of Algifol®
Algifol® is rich in minerals and essential trace elements such as magnesium and manganese, as well as vitamins such as vitamin K, polysaccharides, plant hormones such as cytokinin and amino acids such as methionine. It also contains valuable nutrients such as iodine and potassium, which promote plant growth and sustainably improve soil structure.
The natural ingredient alginate , obtained from brown algae, optimizes water storage in the soil and ensures improved moisture regulation.
This unique combination strengthens plants, improves nutrient uptake and contributes to long-term soil health .

Soil analysis
Algifol® also increases the chlorophyll content, the plant biovolume and the microbial activity in the soil. The brown algae enable plants to absorb nutrients from the soil more efficiently. This plant aid supports and stimulates the metabolic processes of the plants.
